How do you know what to take pictures? What do you look for?
Your goal as a photographer is to take beautiful pictures. Pictures that capture the attention of the viewer. Pictures that tell a story.
I was taught the following 3 principles:
- Have a clear subject (or a theme).
- Focus attention on your subject.
If you learn to shoot using these three principles your pictures will improve. You will assess the scene and maybe move your subject, or yourself, to remove trees that appear to grow out of their head…simply things like that.
You may move closer to “crop” the frame; or even crop in post.
These three principles will vastly improve your pictures.
Thanks for reading, keep on shooting, and, as always I look forward to your continued support.
